A Community’s Labor of Love

who sees the documentary?

The Do It For Daniel documentary, produced and directed by husband and wife duo, Mike Berens and Kammi Young-Berens of ShortyWevo Productions, took 5 years to complete and has been a labor of love. Completing this project would not have been possible without tremendous community support, the Olson family’s vulnerability, the lovely people of Ishpeming, MI and folks across the country who’ve donated their time, money and knowledge. Since its completion, Coach Jeff Olson (Daniel’s father) has taken the documentary to 80+ schools in the Midwest & facilitated 150 presentations to communities, hospitals, universities & many other organizations in the Olson family’s quest to erase mental health stigma.
